How to Administer Ivermaxx 80

Ivermaxx 80 is administered by subcutaneous injection, typically in the neck area, following aseptic technique. Always use a sterile needle and syringe, and avoid injection into wet or dirty skin.

• Given as a single dose, with the exact amount based on body weight under veterinary guidance.
• In large animals, divide the total volume if needed to minimize injection site reactions.
• Do not administer more than 10 mL per injection site.

Missed Dose & Overdose

• Missed dose: If a scheduled dose is missed, administer it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next treatment cycle, skip the missed dose—never double the dose.

How it works

Ivermaxx 80 works by selectively binding to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in the nerve and muscle cells of invertebrate parasites. This increases membrane permeability to chloride ions, causing hyperpolarization, paralysis, and eventual death of the parasite. The mechanism has little to no effect on mammalian nerve cells due to the lack of these specific channels.

Side effects

Most animals tolerate Ivermaxx 80 well. Side effects are generally mild and temporary, resolving as the animal adjusts.
